Blocks

Blocks are content you add to the profile, order status, and order list pages of Shopify customer accounts. Build them from text, images, links, forms, and product lists, with no code.

Blocks list

Open Blocks in the app menu to see the blocks you’ve created.

• Filter: Show All, or only order details, order list, or profile blocks.
• Display ID: A number (1–10) assigned to each block automatically. You choose this number when you add the block in the Shopify editor.
• Status: Published or Draft.
• Actions: Duplicate, Delete, and Create block.

Create a block

To show a block in customer accounts after you create it, see Show a block.

Click Create block, then under Select usage, choose the page to show it on (order details, order list, or profile).

• Start from a blank block: Start with nothing and build it yourself.
• Or start from a template: Start from a template for a common use, such as birthday rewards, shipping delays, membership tiers, VIP early access, surveys, or FAQs.

Block editor

• Basic settings: Block name and display location.
• Sections: The contents of the block. Choose a layout for each section (1 column, 1:1, 2:1, 1:2, or 1:1:1) and add content. Each section can have its own display conditions and display period.
• Language to edit: Enter text in both Japanese and English.
• Preview: See what customers will see, on the right side of the screen.

Plan differences

• Free: 1 block. Customers see only section headings and rich text. Display conditions aren’t available.
• Starter and Pro: No limits on blocks, content, or display conditions.
